YOUTH PARADE                                            Jaunimo paradas

Youth in Vilnius suburb Naujoji Vilnia at 2008 fought among themselves because various groups of youth had different appearance and prefered different music. There were some original  youth groups then acting in fields of  youth subculture. But the main part of young people just hanged around hating and beating everybody including girls who looked unlike them. We iniciated actions named “We all are from the same courtyard”. This part of project included non-official meetings or events in public areas among different groups  were they could express themselves in different ways and compare their points of view. Youth leaders of our organisation have iniciated various actions where they helped other young citizens to organize some useful for themselves or for whole community (charity raising, street basketball tournament etc.). The main aim of this project was to make closer aquaintances among all young people in district and among themsleves in order to accept diversity of appearance and standpoints.
